Natural Supplements vs. Synthetic Supplements

July 2nd, 2008

Something that I hear often is people saying that they would rather take a natural supplement rather than a synthetic supplement. The truth about dietary supplements is that most of the supplements on the market today are synthetic in nature.  To be honest, our bodies can not tell the difference between natural and synthetic molecules.  All it sees is molecules and bonds and doesn’t care where the molecule came from.  When we get into trouble with synthetic molecules is when there are concomitants left in the finished product from the synthetic process.  One need not worry these days because the regulatory bodies in North America (FDA and Health Canada) have strict procedures that supplement companies must adhere to in the manufacturing process. The bottom line is that synthetic supplements are just as good as natural supplements and will be the cheapest supplements because they are the most economical to produce.  The synthetic supplements are also the most nutrient packed supplements because there is not much filler or extraneous material used in their production.

Odds are, your local health/vitamin shop carries a well-stocked supply of muscle building nutritional supplements. In fact, you may find that there are so many, it is difficult to decide which one to try. You probably have certain goals in mind, and it can be difficult to choose the supplement that will best help you to reach those goals, especially when there are so many to choose from.

You should know that you can build up muscle without using supplements, but using supplements will definitely help you achieve faster results. You still have to work at building muscle; it won?t happen if you just sit on the couch all day, no matter how many muscle building supplements you use. By having a well-planned weight lifting and workout routine that you do everyday, and using supplements, you can build muscle, if you are willing to work at it. The most popular supplements that muscle builders use are multivitamins, protein, and creatine.

Liquid vs. Pill Supplements

June 26th, 2008

In recent years, there has been lots of research into nutritional supplements and their effectiveness, and most studies have shown that liquid supplements are actually the most effective when compared to pills. The pill version of supplements takes time to break down once inside the body, and in some cases, the pill simply passes right through, with no benefit being gained at all. Liquid supplements are quickly absorbed into the body, and little benefit is lost during the digestive process.
